George A. Snyder

George A. Snyder, age 93 of 217 Bartley Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 2:45 a.m. in Butler V A Medical Center.

Born Friday, April 21, 1911 in Grove City, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Harry A. Snyder and the late Nellie Campbell.

Mr. Snyder was a rubber press operator for Castle Rubber Company, retiring on July 1, 1972.  He was protestant by faith.  Mr. Snyder was a life member of Greenwood Village V. F. D., member of Tanglewood Senior Center, a veteran of U. S. Army serving in World War II.

Mr. Snyder is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Bopp, Mrs. Gary (Phyllis) Smith both of Butler, Pennsylvania; one son, Thomas Snyder of Poseyville, Indiana; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Patton of Grove City, Pennsylvania, two nieces and two nephews.

Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret E. Snyder who passed away on February 8, 2000, and by one brother.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 20, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc.  Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dennis Molnar officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
