Max Solitz, 92, a long time
resident of Linhurst Avenue, Butler, PA, recently a
resident of Elmcroft in Saxonburg, PA, passed away
on December 10, 2011 at 9:02 p.m. at the UPMC St.
Margaret.
He was born June 15, 1919
in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Fred Solitz and
Daria Revinich Solitz.
Mr. Solitz was a veteran of
the United States Army, serving in World War II and
retired from Armco, Butler works. He was a member of
the American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora and Joseph
T. Black VFW Post #249.
Mr. Solitz is survived by
one sister, Anna Mae Cole of Sebring, FL; a niece,
Michelle Cole of Horseheads, NY; several other
nieces and nephews; and a very special close friend,
Jennie Hughes of Butler, PA.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by two brothers, John &
Paul Solitz and one sister, Elsa Solitz.
There will be no public
visitation.
Graveside service will be held on December 19,
2011 at 10:30 a.m.at North Side Cemetery with
Chaplin Dave Chambers officiating.
