Robert L. Stevenson

Robert L. Stevenson, age 77 of Stevenson Road, Renfrew, Pennsylvania, died Monday, August 29, 2005 at 5:55 p.m. in the Chicora Medical Center.

Born June 27, 1928 in Meridian, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Lloyd E. Stevenson and the late Helen Hilliard.

Mr. Stevenson owned and operated the Stevenson Family farm in Connoquenessing Township. He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church. Mr. Stevenson was known to his family and friends as Uncle Bob. He was a member of the Connoquenessing Fire Department, member of the PA Farmers Association and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving in the Korean War.

Mr. Stevenson is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Turansky of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Wanda Stevenson of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Carl (Jean) Daubenspeck of North Washington, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Mr. Stevenson was preceded in death by one infant brother.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, September 1, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the St. John's Reformed Church on Friday, September 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Robert C. Peterson and Mr. Stevenson's nephew, Reverend Kevin A. Neal, pastor at Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church in Aliquippa officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
