Stewart, 91, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on
September 27, 2018 at the VA Butler Healthcare.
He was born December 4, 1926 in Butler, Pennsylvania
to the late Stanley Stewart and the late Twila
Donald worked as a mail carrier for the Butler Post
Office retiring in 1982 after 32 years of service.
He was a member of the National Association of
Letter Carriers Branch # 48, Joseph Black VFW Post #
249, and the American Legion Post #117 of Butler.
Donald was a Veteran of World War II serving in the
Donald is survived by his two daughters, Joanne
(David) Ellenberger of Butler, PA; Kathleen (David)
Shidemantle of Harmony, PA; two sons, J. Edwin Sloan
of TX; Tomas (Paulette) Sloan of Natrona Heights,
PA; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by his wife Ana, who he married on October 3, 1953
and who passed away on March 25, 2003; one son,
Stanley Stewart; brothers, Loyal Stewart, Ralph
Stewart; and sister, Catherine Weibel.
A memorial service at St. Andrews United
Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., Butler,
PA 16001, on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
with Pastor Merry Meloy, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be
made to ARC of Butler County, 112 Hollywood Dr.,
Suite 202., Butler, PA 16001.
