Donald E. "Windy" Sutton,
Sr., 82, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on
January 30, 2013 at 8:40 a.m. at Sunnyview Nursing
and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 3,
1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania, to the late Samuel
Sutton and Helen (Blose) Sutton.
Mr. Sutton worked as a
Machinist at Armco for over 30 years in the Machine
Shop. He was a veteran of the United States Army,
serving in the Korean War. Mr. Sutton was a member
of the VFW Chicora Post #7876, a charter member of
the Happy Hunters Sportsman Club and was an
Independent Union Rep at Armco.
Mr. Sutton is survived by
one son, Donald E. Sutton, Jr. and his wife Kimberly
of Chicora, PA; four daughters, Vickie Knestaut and
her husband Danny of Greensburg, PA, Wendy Pratts
and her husband Eddie of Butler, PA, Debby Sutton of
Butler, PA, and Christine Martin and her husband
Patrick of Palmyra, PA; eight grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and also by one sister,
Margaret McPherson and her husband Ronald of
In addition to his parents,
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Belle
Sutton, whom he married on August 23, 1957 and who
passed away on July 19, 2012; two brothers Charles
and Robert Sutton; and one sister, Ora Schomer.
According to Donald's
wishes there will be no visitation or funeral
Donald's family would like to thank the staff
of Amedisys Home Health and Hospice for caring for
Donald throughout his illness.
Arrangements are being handled
by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North
Street, Butler, PA.
