Norman E. Tinker, age 83 of East Fulton
Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at 2:40
p.m. at his residence. Born
December 29, 1921 in Silinas, Kansas he was the son of the late
Eugene Tinker and the late Mildred Brown.
Mr. Tinker was a CLU special agent
for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was a member of
Westminster Presbyterian Church of America. He was an euphonium
player and an avid amateur musician. Mr. Tinker was a member of the
Allegheny Brass Band, Harrisville Community Band, Salvation Army
Community Band of the South, and the Northwestern Alumni Band. Mr.
Tinker attended Northwestern University and received a Bachelor of
Science degree in speech.
Mr. Tinker is survived by his wife,
Gean D. Tinker and whom he married on September 5, 1953; one son,
Paul D. Tinker of Shreveport, Louisiana; and by one daughter,
Elizabeth G. Watson of El Paso, Texas.
Mr. Tinker was preceded in death by a
brother and a sister.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m.
Services will be held at the
Westminster Presbyterian Church of America. on Thursday, October 6,
2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor William Dumbaugh the Chaplin at UPMC
Passavant Hospital and Major Robert A. Dries, Old Orchard Beach,
Maine officiating. Interment will follow in Summit United
Presbyterian Church Cemetery. |
