Arthur Eugene
Wagner, 85, of Eau Claire, Pennsylvania, passed away on
December 31, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at his residence.
He was born
December 5, 1926 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania to the
late Harvey R. Wagner and Bessie M. Flinner Wagner.
Mr. Wagner was
a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War
II. He worked as a troubleshooter and installer of
presses for the Miller Printing Machinery Co. in
Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Wagner was a member of the East
Unity Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Wagner is
survived by two daughters, Christine Irwin and her
husband Terry of Dover, OH, Patricia Hortert and her
husband Chris of Eau Claire, PA; one brother, Floyd
Wagner and his wife Jeanne of Butler, PA; two sisters,
Martha Barto of Butler, PA, and Rev. Donna Lee Shogren
and her husband Paul of Oakland, MD; six grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and
nephews.
In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Ruth M.
Allerton Wagner, whom he married August 12, 1948 and who
passed away October 19, 2004, one son, Eugene Lavern
Wagner and two sisters.
Friends
will be received
Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm
at
Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North
Street Butler, PA.
Funeral
services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at
11:00 am at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124
East North St. Butler, PA, with, Rev. Donna Lee Shogren,
retired minister and sister of the deceased,
officiating.
Officers and members of the American Legion Post #778
Lyndora, and the VFW post #249 will conduct military
services following the funeral service.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial
Estates.
