Lee H. Warren

October 20, 1919 - September 27, 2004
 

Lee H. Warren, 84, died on Monday, September 27th at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

A veteran of WWII, he was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corp and saw duty in the Mediterranean Theater. He flew combat missions out of North Africa, Sicily, and Italy as part of the Italian Campaign.

Mr. Warren was born on October 20, 1919 in Clearfield, PA, but was a lifelong resident of Butler. He at one time owned and operated the Swan Taxi Company of Butler, and later was the manager of the Mr. Tire store. He was a member of Elks Lodge 170. In his younger days he was an avid golfer, and throughout his life greatly enjoyed traveling.

Mr. Warren is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Valda J. Glenn of Butler; three children - Sandie Swigart of New Bern, NC, Gary Warren of Springfield, VA, and Ronald Warren of Fairfax, VA; six grandsons; four great grandchildren; and eleven nieces & nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Butler County Memorial Park & Mausoleum at a later date.
