Rupert J. Webb, 86, of Butler,
Pennsylvania, passed away on January 16, 2012 at 6:45 a.m. at
the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 16, 1925 in Queens
Junction, Pennsylvania to the late Archie G. Webb and Dolores V.
Miller Webb.
Mr. Webb was a veteran of the United
States Navy, serving in World War II. He lived in Long Beach, CA
for 30 years, moving back to Butler in 1985. He was a Postal
Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1985. Mr. Webb
was a member of Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Webb is survived by his wife
Geraldine E. (Tebay) Webb, whom he married March 18, 1946; one
son, Donald J. Webb of Butler, PA; one daughter, Dolores Mason
and her husband Roland of Winston Salem, NC; five grandchildren;
eleven great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Archie C. Webb
of Bakersfield, CA, Chester E. Webb and his wife Linda of
Surprise, AZ, Wallace G. Webb and his wife Hazel of Butler, PA.
and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by one brother Richard M. Webb.
Friends will be received
Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at
the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street
Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday January 20, 2012
at 11:00 a.m. from the
Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East
North Street Butler, PA with Pastor Matthew Kail from the Muddy
Creek Presbyterian Church
officiating.
Officers and members of the American Legion Post #778
Lyndora, and the VFW Post #249 will conduct military services
following the funeral services.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn
Burial Estates.
