Karl D. Weisenstein, 84, of
Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, January
27, 2015 at 1:22 p.m. at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born April 7, 1930 in
Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Dan Weisenstein and
Lottie (Johnson) Weisenstein.
Karl was a veteran of the
United States Air Force serving during the Korean War.
He worked in the Combustion Department at Butler Armco
Steel retiring after 35 years of service.Karl was
Protestant by faith and was a deacon at Calvary Church.
He was a avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed taking
his son, daughter and nephews out to learn the love of
sportsmanship and nature. Karl especially enjoyed
spending time with his family and friends.
Karl is survived by his wife
Helen V. Weisenstein whom he married on June 6, 1974;
one daughter, Lori Eury and her husband Kirk of Butler,
PA; one grandson, Eric Deal of Butler, PA; one
granddaughter, Vanessa Desch and her husband Owen of
Butler, PA; one great grandchild, Destiny Galore-Deal;
and number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by one son, Kurtis L. Weisenstein;
three sisters and four brothers.
Friends will be received
Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 1 to 4 pm
at Thompson -
Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street,
Funeral services will be held immediately following at
4:00 p.m. with Pastor Todd Wentworth of First Baptist
Burial will take place in the
Butler County Memorial Park.
