Helen Louise Wimer

August 2, 1920 - November 5, 2004
 

Helen Louise (Pride) Wimer, age 94 died Friday, November 5, 2004 at 2:25 a.m. in Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Monday, August 2, 1910 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Charles Albert Pride and Edith Mae Kennedy.

Mrs. Wimer was a homemaker and she formerly worked as a clerk for H. J. Heinz in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America and she was a youth ministries advisor and a Sunday school teacher. She was also active on various committees of her church. Mrs. Wimer enjoyed reading, witnessing her faith and serving her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved nature and enjoyed rhododendrons and azaleas especially.

Mrs. Wimer is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Sue Ross of Roanoke, Virginia; two sons, Evan Albert Wimer of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania and Arthur Pride Wimer of Palm Bay, Florida; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two nieces and three nephews.

Her husband, Evan Atwell Wimer who was deceased on March 14, 1980, preceded her in death.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, November 7, 2004 from 12 Noon until 4 p.m. and 7 to 9.

Services will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America on Monday, November 8, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. H. Curtis McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.
