Jerry L. Zimmerman

January 23, 1939 - December 31, 2003

Jerry L. Zimmerman, 64 of Butler, died at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in U.P.M.C. Presbyterian Hospital, Oakland.

Born January 23, 1939 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Daniel W. Zimmerman and Gertrude E. (Dolly) Piper.

Mr. Zimmerman was employed by the Castle Rubber Company in East Butler as a Banbury mixer and he retired on February 28, 2001. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma Jean Meier Zimmerman whom he married June 23, 1973, four daughters, Mrs. John (Tracy) Fields of Rimersburg, PA, Mrs. Ronald (Pamela) Marburger of East Brady, PA, Mrs. Michael (Amy) Sheaffer of Butler, PA, and Mrs. Michael (Leigh Ann) Marzullo of Butler, PA, twelve grandchildren and one great grandson, a sister, Mrs. Morgan (Mildred) Geibel of East Butler, PA and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his two sons and two brothers.

Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, Friday January 2, 2004 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m.

A Blessing Service will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday January 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jack Nanz pastor of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Butler officiating. Interment will be private.
