Blanche Kruh Abbatiello

November 23, 1924 - June 28, 2008

Blanche Kruh Abbatiello, age 83 of Beech Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born November 23, 1924 in Bronx, New York she was the daughter of the late Jack Kruh and the late Ada Levy Kruh.

Mrs. Abbatiello was a homemaker. She was a member of Congregation B'Nai Abraham, treasurer of the B'Nai Abraham Sisterhood, a longtime volunteer at The Butler Veteran's Administration Medical Center in the library and in home health services, she was also a volunteer at the Butler Memorial Hospital in pastoral care. Mrs. Abbatiello was a member of the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and belonged to a number of area Bridge Clubs, she was a life member of Hadassah.

Mrs. Abbatiello is survived by her son, Douglas Ian Abbatiello of Sharon, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Louis Kruh of Merrick, New York, and Joel Kruh of Naples, Florida; and by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Abbatiello was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alfonso Abbatiello on July 22,1984.

Graveside services will be held at the Congregation B'Nai Abraham Cemetery on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Rabbi Walter Boninger formerly of Congregation B'Nai Abraham officiating. Interment will follow in the Congregation B'Nai Abraham Cemetery.
