Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Coughenour, age 80
of Roads End Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, May 1, 2008
at 8:06 a.m. at her residence.
Born March 6, 1928 in Morgantown, West Virginia she was the daughter
of the late William Hormell and the late Lorena Newman.
Mrs. Coughenour was a mother and
homemaker. She was Presbyterian by faith. Mrs. Coughenour was a
member of the Elks Lodge 2751 of Crossville, Tennessee, a former
Girl Scout Leader; she enjoyed bible studies, bowling and was a
Steeler fan.
Mrs. Coughenour is survived by two
sons, David Coughenour of Round Rock, Texas, Eric Coughenour of
Butler, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,
one sister, Patricia Brown of Ocala, Florida, four
step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, one niece and
two nephews.
Mrs. Coughenour was preceded in death
by her husband, Thomas R. Coughenour who passed away on February 11,
2004, also by one daughter, Anne Coughenour and one sister, Rena
Bell.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson
- Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. with
Reverend John Porter of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating.
