Floretta M. Ellis, age 91 of Sunnyview
Home, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of South Cliff Street and
Forestville, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at 4:15 a.m. in the
Sunnyview Home. Born March 7,
1917 in Plain Grove, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late
Clarence X. Pollock and the late Marjorie Rumbaugh.
Mrs. Ellis was a homemaker. She was a
member of Forestville United Methodist Church and she also attended
Westminster Presbyterian Church in America. Mrs. Ellis was a member
of A.A.R.P. and she loved art, to draw and paint and to do
needlework.
Mrs. Ellis is survived by her son and
his wife, Mr. David C. and Janet Ellis of Butler, Pennsylvania; two
grandsons and their wives, Dr. Brian D. and Lisa Ellis of
Morgantown, West Virginia, Mr. Michael A. and Patti Ellis of
Imperial, Pennsylvania; and two great-grandchildren, Jeremy A. Ellis
and Sydni L. Ellis both of Imperial, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by
her husband, Edwin L. Ellis who passed away on October 9, 1994 and
also by two brothers.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
with Pastor David D. Ealy of Forestville United Methodist Church
officiating. Interment will follow in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
