William C. Jack

May 14, 1914 - June 11, 2008

 

William C. Jack, age 94 of Oakland Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at his residence. 

Born May 14, 1914 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Lewis Earl Jack and the late Goldie Undine Stepp. 

Mr. Jack worked in the metallurgical department for Butler Armco until his retirement in 1976.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church.  Mr. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WW II, a retired Commander from the Naval Reserve and a member of the American Legion Post #117.  He was a member of #694 Victory Lodge F & AM, member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle, a member of Caravan #14 of Butler and a member of the Syria Temple of Pittsburgh. 

Mr. Jack is survived by his two daughters, Nancy E. Witt and Patricia E. Jack both of Stoneboro, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, one great-grandson, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Laura E. Jack who passed away on June 6, 1999 and also by one son, William H. Jack, one sister, and one brother. 

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.
