Michael D. Moore

November 18, 1967 - April 3, 2008

Michael D. Moore, age 40 of Walker Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 while vacationing with his wife in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Born November 18, 1967 in Grove City, Pennsylvania he was the son of DeWayne Moore and Janet Heeter Leslie.

Mr. Moore was the Director of Compliance for Nextier Bank. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Hannahstown. Mr. Moore recently received certification as a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager. He loved to golf and work and play on the computer. Mr. Moore was a graduate of Knoch High School and also attended Westminster and Grove City College.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Holly Burtner Moore whom he married on August 14, 1999, by his mother and step-father, Kenneth and Janet Leslie, by his father and step-mother, DeWayne and Patricia Moore, by two sisters, Laura Gizienski and her husband Jim of Valencia, Pennsylvania, Linda Steele and her husband Frank of Butler, Pennsylvania, one half-brother, Duane Moore and his wife Bettina of Georgia; one half-sister, Ashley Moore, of North Carolina; his grandmother, Myrtle Anderson of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; two step-sisters, Lee Kennedy of Butler, Pennsylvania, Lori Rudolph of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, one step-brother, Kerry Leslie of Butler, Pennsylvania; by three nieces and four nephews; and by his loving dog, Marcel.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday April 11,2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday April 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barry Keurulainen of St. Luke Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
