Mabel A. Gray Steele, age 81 of West Old
Route 422, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at 3:00
p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born August 21, 1926 in Kittanning,
Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Audley Gray and the
late Eva Montgomery.
Mr. Steele was a homemaker. She was a
member of First Baptist Church and she was active in her church and
with the Slippery Rock Baptist Youth Camp.
Mr. Steele is survived by her two
sons, Richard K. Steele of Butler, Pennsylvania, Reverend Karl G.
Steele of Orviston, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Margaret E. Steele
of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mark E. (Mary) Kuhn of Columbus, Ohio;
ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two Brothers, and by a
number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Steele was preceded in death by
her husband, Richard K. Steele who passed away on February 4, 1991,
by her parents and also by a sister.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson
- Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
with her son, Reverend Karl G. Steele and Pastor David Maitland of
First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn
Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, R.D. # 3,
Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania 16057. |
