Robert W. Teitt

February 28, 1928 - June 23, 2008

Robert W. Teitt, age 80 of Beech Road, Butler, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at 4:10 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born February 28, 1928 in Trafford, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Charles Teitt and the late Margaret Watson Teitt.

Mr. Teitt was employed by the Butler Area School District at the Butler Senior High School as a Social Studies teacher. He also coached football at Butler High school. Mr. Teitt retired in 1987; he had been a teacher for various school districts for thirty-eight years. He was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Teitt is survived by his wife, Emma Zigarovich Teitt, whom he married on June 24, 1961, by one son, Robert W. Teitt, II of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one sister, Mrs. Naomi Witman and her husband Dwight of Trafford, Pennsylvania; and by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Teitt was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret McWilliams and one brother, Matthew Teitt.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 10 a.m. and until time of the service.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Clark Sawyer of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
