Edward Timblin, Jr., age 83 of South
Cliff Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at
in the at his residence. Born
April 3, 1925 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late
Edward Timblin, Sr. and the late Myrtle Thompson.
Mr. Timblin was a painter for Pullman
Standard, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Community Alliance
Church. Mr. Timblin enjoyed flea markets and traveling.
Mr. Timblin is survived by his
companion of 35 years, Annie Firster, by two daughters and their
husbands, Donna and Ed Lawson of Butler, Pennsylvania, Phylis and
Bill Spiece of Fenelton, Pennsylvania; one son and his wife, Paul
and Linda Timblin of Butler, Pennsylvania; three step-daughters,
Judy and Don Miller, Deborah Bowser, Kim and Steve Green; one
step-son, Chuck and Brenda Firster, all of Butler; by six
grandchildren, Jennifer Spiece, Cathleen Piche, Holly Spiece,
Candice Cady, Michael Lawson, Matthew Edgington, all of Butler;
twenty step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, twenty-eight
step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Timblin of Butler,
Pennsylvania; one sister, Pearl VanScooten of Pasadena, Florida and
also by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Timblin was preceded in death by
son, Jerry Timblin, step-daughter, Lori McClimans, two sisters, Edna
McCandless and Betty Thomas and one brother Vic Timblin.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Monday, April 7, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson
- Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
with Reverend Dennis L. Krajacic of Community Alliance Church
officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates. |
