Madeline E. Baker, age 81 of Renfrew,
Pennsylvania went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, March 12,
2010 at 6:50 a.m. Mrs. Baker passed away peacefully at UPMC
Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born November 14, 1928 in Argentine,
Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Homer Hughes and
Gladys Sedwick Hughes.
Mrs. Baker was a member of Butler
First Church of the Nazarene. She worked at Wal-Mart in Butler,
Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Baker is survived by one
daughter Kathy and her husband Gordon Thompson of Renfrew,
Pennsylvania; her sweetheart, Glenn R. Thompson, Sr. of Renfrew,
Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Shirley Young of Chicora,
Pennsylvania; one brother Frank and Alphine Hughes of Clintonville,
Pennsylvania and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by
her husband, Norman W. Baker who passed away on November 18, 1995;
and also by two sisters and six brothers.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Butler
First Church of the Nazarene on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
with Pastor Chris Easton of Butler First Church of the Nazarene
officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. |
