Rudolph W. Bowser

Rudolph W. Bowser, age 68, of Park Crest Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 1:53 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 28, 1941 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Calvin Bowser and Alice C. Van Buren.

Mr. Bowser had worked at Pullman Standard and Armco (AK Steel) of Butler, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Italian Society, and Summit Township Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed fishing, watching TV, and sports.

Mr. Bowser is survived by his wife, Delores (Dutch) Kummer Bowser, whom he married on August 24, 1962; one son, Rudolph W. Bowser, II and his wife, Sharon of Butler; two daughters, Darlene Hinchberger and her husband, Russell of Saxonburg, and Janet McIntire and her husband, Brian of Saxonburg; four grandchildren, Amanda and Daniel Hinchberger, and Joshua and Amber McIntire; two brothers, Ronald G. Bowser, and his wife, Elaine of Butler, and Calvin "Champ" Bowser, and his wife, Betty of Portersville; three sisters, Mildred Pappas and her husband, Ted of Clarion; Peggy Davis and her husband, Ray of Butler; and Georgia Kaye Colossimo of Butler. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowser was preceded in death by four sisters.

A memorial service to honor Mr. Bowser's life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at Christ Outreach Church 120 Walker Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania with Reverend Ken Palmer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Butler County Humane Society 1027 Evans City Road, Renfrew, Pennsylvania 16053, Christ Outreach Church 120 Walker Avenue Butler, Pennsylvania 16001, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
