Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Conklin

Mary Elizabeth "Lib" Conklin, age 85, of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Unionville Road, Butler, died November 5, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. in the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 22, 1924 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James Marsh Perry and Mary Kiger Perry Davis.

Mrs. Conklin was a homemaker and a licensed beautician. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Conklin loved bowling, traveling and dancing.

Mrs. Conklin is survived by her husband, John R. Conklin, Jr. whom she married on June 22, 1942; four sons, Robert Conklin of Butler; James Conklin of Denver, Colorado; William (Doug) Conklin of Butler; and Mike Conklin of Butler. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, six cousins, and a number of nieces and nephews, many residing in the Waynesburg area. One brother-in-law, Joe Conklin of Waynesburg, two sisters-in-law, Pat Hrutkay of Coal Center, Pennsylvania and Jane Conklin of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania also survive.

There will be no public visitation and a private memorial service will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church 200 East North St. Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 or to the American Cancer Society, Greater Pittsburgh, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15205.
