John R. "Spook" Doutt, age 77, of
Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at his
residence.Born February 7, 1932 in
Renfrew, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William R. Doutt and Clair
Irene Martin Doutt.
Mr. Doutt was a ladle crane operator in the
melt shop for Butler Armco, retiring in 1991. Mr. Doutt was a
veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was
Protestant by faith.
Mr. Doutt is survived by one son, Timothy R.
Doutt of Butler, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Sherry and her
husband, Mike Conklin of Butler, Pennsylvania; Dawn Double of
Butler, Pennsylvania; numerous granchildren and great grandchildren.
Also surviving is his mother, Clair Irene Doutt of Butler,
Pennsylvania; his sister, Janet Eileen, and her husband, Paul Graham
of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Richard and his wife,
Esther Doutt of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Gary Doutt of Butler,
Pennsylvania. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
John was preceded in death by his father and
four brothers, William, Jr., Norman, Terrance, and George Doutt.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9
p.m.
In accordance with Mr. Doutt's wishes, there
will be no funeral service.
