Helen Lucille Bowers Flick

Helen Lucille Bowers Flick, age 89, of Chicora Road, Butler, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 8:50 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Brent, Pennsylvania on January 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William Bowers and Mary Knight Bowers.

In her early years, Helen worked at the egg auction in East Butler, and in later years, she worked on the bottling line at Penn Champ from where she retired. She was a member of the Butler Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by two sons, William Flick and his wife, Diana, and James Flick, both of Butler, and one daughter, Mrs. Janet Davis and her husband, Harold of Butler; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Sharp; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry R. Flick, whom she married on October 31, 1936 and passed away on May 23, 1999; her daughter, Mrs. Alice Johns of Mansfield, Ohio, and one sister and eight brothers.

Friends will be received at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M..

Funeral Services will be from Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with the Reverend Thomas Kelly of Karns City Church of God of Prophecy officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Park Worthington, Pennsylvania.
