Clifford A. Gallagher,
age 85, of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, went home to be with Jesus, at
5:40 p.m. on June 26, 2010 from the VA Medical Center of Butler,
Pennsylvania.
Mr. Gallagher was born in Butler,
Pennsylvania on April 9, 1925 to the late Alvin J. and Helen E.
(Snyder) Gallagher.
Mr. Gallagher retired from Pullman
Standard. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the
European Theatre during WWII. He was a member of Community Alliance
Church and lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 249, Butler, Pennsylvania.
He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, and playing pool.
Mr. Gallagher is survived by his
loving wife, Jane K. (Miller) Gallagher, whom he married June 8,
1955. He is also survived by two sons, Clifford A. (Julie)
Gallagher, Jr. of Grand Blanc, Michigan, and Kevin L. Gallagher of
Renfrew, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Phyllis Bentley of Butler,
Pennsylvania and Nancy (Eric) Bogan also of Butler, Pennsylvania;
six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and
nephews.
Mr. Gallagher is preceded in death by
an infant son; two brothers, Donald and Bernard Gallagher.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at
Community Alliance Church on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
with Pastor Dennis L. Krajacic officiating. Interment at National
Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
