Born November 25, 1929 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Bryson McKee Ferguson and Sarah Jane Patten Ferguson.

Mrs. Gerhart was a member of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church. She was a secretary for Castle Rubber, Nationwide and Morgan Management Company retiring in 1972. Mrs. Gerhart was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Mrs. Gerhart is survived by her husband, Richard L. Gerhart of Butler, Pennsylvania whom she married on February 12, 1972; two sisters, Martha Marzullo of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, and Sarah Jane Parker of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gerhart was preceded in death by one son.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 12:00 (noon) till 2:00 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. James Swanson of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
