Judith E. Hemphill

Judith E. Hemphill, age 68, of Butler, Pennsylvania, died on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 6, 1941 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late J. Walter Engel and the late Marion Wilson.

Mrs. Hemphill was a homemaker and she was a beautician and owned her own shop. She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church. Beforehand, she was a very active member of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Neil R. Hemphill; one son, Christopher Robert Warner of Butler, Pennsylvania; one grandson; one step-grandson and one step-granddaughter; two step-sons, Mark Roger Hemphill of Prospect, Pennsylvania and Kenneth H. Hemphill of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by one sister, Jeanne Lower of Clifton Springs, New York.

Mrs. Hemphill was preceded in death by one step-grandson.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at the Butler County Memorial Park with Reverend Dr. Robert Peterson of St. John's Reformed Church officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
