Jeffrey Jon Hill, Sr.

April 17, 1955 ~ January 20, 2010

 

Jeffrey Jon Hill, Sr. 54 of Fisher Road, Cabot, Pennsylvania, formerly of Sarver, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 12:45 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 17, 1955 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of James B. Hill and Patricia Grenet Hill.

Mr. Hill was a journeyman machinist. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Mr. Hill was a member of the Vet's Club of Sarver, PA. He was an avid hunter in archery and rifle. He enjoyed skydiving and was a member of Grove City Parachute Club. Mr. Hill enjoyed snow skiing all his life and skied the Alps. He was in the U.S. Army, 1st Armored Division.

Mr. Hill is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Jon Hill, Jr. and Shane Paul Hill of Sarver, Pennsylvania, and one daughter, Shannon Eileen Hill of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Also surviving is his mother, Patricia Hill of Cabot; two brothers, Tyler of Cabot; and Tim, his wife, Linda of Carmel, Indiana and his nephews Ryan, Justin, and Daniel Hill of Carmel, Indiana; his former wife of 29 years, Nancy Shank Hill of Sarver; his loving aunts and uncles, Janyce and Bob Kaltenhauser of Saxonburg, Joyce Hall of Butler, Patricia Hild and Ray Fortunato of State College and cousins.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church 409 Sarver Road, Sarver, Pennsylvania 16055 on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. with Reverend Emery L. Barnett of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Cemetery.
