Grace Naomi Leasure, age
87, of Sunnyview Home in Butler died Saturday, April 10, 2010 at
7:15 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 17, 1923, in Edinburg,
Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Parish and
Marie Myers Parish.
Mrs. Leasure was a member of Trinity
Presbyterian Church. She retired in June of 1985 from Penn Champ,
where she worked on the assembly line. She was active in the Duffy
Road Card Club for over fifty years, and in addition to cards, she
was an avid bingo player and bowler.
Mrs. Leasure is survived by two sons,
Paul W. Leasure and Lawrence R. Leasure, both of Butler; three
daughters, Mrs. David "Kathleen" Haunty and Sandra Burke, both of
Butler, and Mrs. John "Joanne" Sullivan of Lexington, South
Carolina; one brother, Richard Parish of Las Cruces, New Mexico;
nineteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren; and three great
great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Leasure was preceded in death by
her husband, Paul W. Leasure, Sr., who she married on January 15,
1942 and who passed away on April 1, 2005; one son, three brothers,
two sisters, two granddaughters and one great grandson.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m.
Services will be held at the Trinity
Presbyterian Church on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with
Pastor Jeff Harris of Trinity Presbyterian Church officiating.
Cremation and burial will follow in Arlington National Cemetery.
