Larry F. Madden

Larry F. Madden, age 64, of Butler, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:03 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 21, 1945 in Butler, he was the son of John William Madden and Pauline Virginia Summerville Madden.

Mr. Madden was a trust accountant for Mellon Bank, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an Eucharistic Minister, a Lector, and a Communion Assistant. He was also a member of the Chancel Choir at Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Trinity Men's Ministry, Lutheran Men in Mission, and the Couples Small Group of the church. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family - his wife, kids, and grandkids. He also enjoyed time outdoors, ping pong, time with his Christian friends, and cars. Mr. Madden was an organ donor.

Mr. Madden is survived by his wife, Kathy Madden whom he married on August 5, 1967; four sons, W. Scott and his wife, Kim Madden of Pittsburgh; Christopher Madden and Tina Noland of Portland, Oregon; Todd and his wife, Rita Madden of Pittsburgh; Jonathan and his wife, Shannon Madden of Butler; one daughter, Amy and her husband, Joe Bevacqua of New Kensington, and six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madison and Emma Bevacqua, Drew, Liam, and Adelaide Madden. His mother, Pauline Madden of Chicora, also survives, along with four nieces, Stacey Reyes, Brynna, Gretchen and Becky Vogt; and one nephew, Chad Vogt.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.

Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Thomas M. Pierotti and Vicar Scott Schul of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
