Paul R. Meier

Paul R. Meier, age 79 of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at the Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington, Pennsylvania.

Born August 21, 1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank A. Meier and Alma Brucker Meier.

Mr. Meier attended Oak Hills Christian Church. He worked as a state journeyman- tool and die maker. In his earlier years, he worked for Butler Stamping. Then he was the owner and operator of Meier Stamping Works in Butler. Mr. Meier was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club.

Mr. Meier is survived by one brother, Ralph H. and his wife Sophie Meier of Butler, Pennsylvania, and one sister Alberta M. Hindman of North Washington, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Meier was preceded in death by his wife Delores Maxine Meier who passed away on April 2, 2003 and also by one sister and three brothers.

Friends of Paul R. Meier may attend a graveside service on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Reverend Phillip Conyers, Jr. of Oak Hills Christian Church officiating. There is no visitation.
