Gabert Delano Molnar, age 88 of Center
Township Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Gibsonia, Allegheny
County, Pennsylvania died Friday, December 11, 2009 at 6:54 a.m. in
the Autumn Grove Care Center, Harrisville, Pennsylvania .
Born November 16, 1921 in Namacolin,
Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Bert Molnar and Julia (Szabo)
Molnar.
Mr. Molnar was a long-term employee
for General Electric's Major Appliance Business retiring 1983. He
was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific
Campaign with the Adjunct Generals Section of the Headquarters
Service Command in Caledonia and the New Hebrides. Mr. Molnar was
Presbyterian by faith.
Mr. Molnar is survived by his wife of
60 years, Mildred B (Sahli) Molnar of Butler; Pennsylvania; one
son, Gabert D. Molnar, Jr. of Broadview Heights, Ohio; one daughter,
Cynthia M. and her husband Charles A. Kuehn, Jr. of Wixom, Michigan;
two grandsons, Charles A. Kuehn III of East Lansing, Michigan and
Paul D. Kuehn of Wixom, Michigan; two brothers, Alexander Molnar and
William J. Molnar and by twenty-three nieces and twelve nephews.
Mr. Molnar was preceded in death by
one son, Gary Richard Molnar, three brothers John S. Molnar, Albert
B. Molnar, and Robert E. Molnar, and three sisters, Mrs. Edith
Breakiron, Mrs. Helen Nemes and Mrs. Bertha Davis.
Friends will be received at
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson
- Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 1:00
p.m. with Reverend Dennis W. Molnar of Wallace Memorial Presbyterian
Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Reverend Christina Ingold of
St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Monessen, Pennsylvania officiating.
Interment will follow in Garden of the Savior at Lakewood Memorial
Gardens, 943 Route 910, Cheswick, Pennsylvania. |
