Audrey Maxine (Bachman) Richardson, age
79, of Hidden Meadows Circle, Renfrew, Pennsyvania, died Monday,
February 8, 2010 at 1:30 a.m. in her home.
Born June 12, 1930 in Butler,
Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Henry John Bachman
and Hilda Nellie (Risch) Bachman.
Mrs. Richardson was a graduate of
Slippery Rock State University, where she received both her
Bachelor's degree and Masters degree. She was an elementary teacher
for the Butler Area School District at the Connoquenessing School;
she retired in 1992. She was a member of the Butler Area School
Retirees, the Pennsylvania Area School Retirees, Butler Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary, and Meridian Area Retired Citizens. She was a
member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she formerly
was a Sunday School teacher, and was an active member and past
president of the Women of the Church. Mrs. Richardson enjoyed
reading, traveling, playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles. She
also had been a Girl Scout leader.
Mrs. Richardson is survived by her
husband, Clyde Richardson, whom she married on October 23, 1951, and
by two daughters, Beverly Rikal and her husband, Mark, of Nashville,
Tennessee, and Gwen Pesci and her husband, Richard, of Butler; four
grandchildren, Jarrad Rikal of Goodletsville,Tennessee, Neal Rikal
of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Megan Pesci of Slippery Rock, and Chad
Pesci of Butler; one brother, William Bachman of Conneaut Lake,
Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Shirley Stewart of Butler,
Pennsylvania, and Phyllis Harper of Palmyra, Pennsylvania; and by
seven nieces and twelve nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara, and four brothers.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00
to 9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at St. Mark's
Evangelical Lutheran Church on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 1:00
p.m. with Reverend Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark's Evangelical
Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County
Memorial Park.
