Valjean M. Ross, age 70, of Cottonwood
Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at the
Butler Memorial Hospital. Born
Thursday, December 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late
Ellsworth C. McCandless and Edna M. Timblin McCandless.
Ms. Ross was a Homemaker and a
Protestant by faith.
Ms. Ross is survived by her son, John
and his wife, Robin Tiedt of Butler, Pennsylvania; her brother,
James McCandless of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Valjean
Tiedt and Tyler Tiedt of Butler; three sisters, Sally Criley of
Fenelton, Pennsylvania, Joan Jacobson of Butler, and Ella Mae
Schoentag of Cabot, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are several nieces
and nephews.
Ms.Ross was preceded in death by a
brother, Ellsworth McCandless, Jr.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
P.M.
Services will be held at
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc, on Friday, October 23, 2009 at
11:00 A.M. with Reverend Richard Jenks of Faith Fellowship Alliance
Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Chestnut
Cemetery. |
