John K. Smith, age 48, of Butler,
Pennsylvania, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at his residence.
Born June 24, 1961 in Sewickley,
Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Francis Smith and Shirley
Davis Smith.
Mr. Smith was a Generator Technician
for Alternative Power Source of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. He attended
Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Smith enjoyed go-kart racing, and he
had a kind heart and would help anyone.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife,
Janet Linden Smith, one son, Benjamin Smith of Butler, Pennsylvania;
one daughter, Natalie Smith of Butler, Pennsylvania; three sisters,
Luanne and her husband, Bob Murphy, of Maryland; Debra and her
husband, Mark Wagner of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; and Mary Margaret
(Peg) and her husband, John Harrington, of West Virginia; three
brothers, William and his wife, Meg Smith of Aliquippa,
Pennsylvania; Jim and his wife, Sandy Smith, of Ohio; and Tom and
his wife, Tracey Smith, of Georgia. Also surviving are his
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Irene Linden of Economy
Borough, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are five nieces and two
nephews.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 2 to 9 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at
Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
with Reverend Thomas M. Pierotti of Trinity Lutheran Church
officiating. |
