Patricia A. Thompson,
age 56 of Whitestown Village, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday,
June 29, 2010 at 3:20 a.m. at her residence.
Born October 19, 1953 in Natrona
Heights she was the daughter of Shields Macurdy and the late Dorritt
Steele Macurdy.
Mrs. Thompson was a Lutheran by
Faith. She worked as a painter for Pullman Standard until the plant
closed in 1982. Mrs. Thompson worked at Kings Restaurant, Old
Country Buffet and several other area restaurants. She enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren. She graduated from Knoch High
School in 1971.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her
husband, Don Thompson, whom she married on February 1, 1980. She is
also survived by one son, Brad E. Wilbert and his wife Chasity of
Butler, Pennsylvania, three daughters, Heather Shanor and her
husband, Adam of Butler, Pennsylvania, Holly Thompson and Crystal
Thompson both of Butler, Pennsylvania, four grandchildren, Taylor,
Maggie, Daelynn and Mason, two sisters, Barbara Douglas of Virginia,
and Jean Renshaw and her husband Larry of Florida, her father,
Shields Macurdy and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death
by her mother, Dorritt Steele Macurdy, and one son, Donald Kenneth
Thompson.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:00
a.m. with Chaplin Lance Gilbert of Vitas Hospice Service
officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Chestnut Cemetery
