Shirley H. Turk, age 82, of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday,
February 12, 2010 at 11:05 p.m. at her residence.
Born June 28,
1927 in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank Noel and Stella
Noel.
Mrs. Turk was the former co-owner, with her husband, James, of
The Hoagie Shop in Butler, until 2005. She enjoyed crossword puzzles
and flowers. Shirley's salvation is with Jesus Christ. She found her
strength in Isaiah 40:31: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall
renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings as eagles, they
shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."
Mrs. Turk is survived by her husband, James A Turk, whom she
married on September 25, 1950 ; one son, Shannon R. Turk of Butler,
one daughter, Sheri Frenchak of Butler, one grandson, Travis
Frenchak of Butler, one granddaughter, Andrea Turk of Butler, one
great-grandson, Jonathan Turk of Butler, one great-granddaughter,
Shannon Rae Turk of Butler, three sisters, Winifred McGarrah, Carol
Noel, and Douna Hoag, all of Butler, and three nieces and two
nephews.
Mrs. Turk was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
