Agnes May Turnblacer, age 96 of Butler,
Pennsylvania, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at 10:40 a.m. in the
Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 23, 1913 in Butler,
Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James McGlincy and
Nancy Agnes Pickering McGlincy.
Mrs. Turnblacer was a member of St.
Andrew's United Presbyterian Church. She worked for the Butler Area
School District teaching Latin and English, retiring in 1975. Mrs.
Turnblacer was a member of the Butler Area Chapter of Retired
Teachers, PA State Educators Association, and Butler County Retired
Public School Employees Association. She was a graduate of Grove
City College Class of 1935 and also attended graduate classes at
University of Pittsburgh, and Duke University at Durham, North
Carolina. Along with her husband, she was a lifetime member of the
Butler Country Club.
Mrs.Turnblacer was preceded in death
by her husband, Dr. Charles B. Turnblacer, who passed away on June
25, 1992, and four sisters and four brothers.
Mrs. Turnblacer is survived by
numerous nieces and nephews.
At Mrs.Turnblacer's request, there
will be no public visitation
A memorial service will be held at
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor
James W. Dollhopf of First English Lutheran Church officiating.
