Amelia Ann "Minnie"
(Butler) Vogel, age 78, died at 2:14 p.m., Sunday, June 13, 2010 at
Allegheny General Hospital.
Born in Butler on September 21, 1931 she was the daughter of Ann
Douglas Munro Butler and Edgar Houserman Butler.
She was married on December 12, 1953 to Arthur Joseph Vogel, who
passed away February 21, 2003.
Amelia was a Registered Nurse and a 1952 graduate of Butler County
Memorial Hospital. She worked at the Butler Memorial Hospital
until retirement in 1991. She was a member of the Butler County
Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni Association. She was very active in
children's organizations and enjoyed sewing and camping.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur William (Bill) Vogel of Butler;
Timothy Joseph (Tim) Vogel and his wife, Patricia Kradel Vogel, of
West Sunbury; a granddaughter, April Ann Vogel, of West Sunbury; a
sister, Mary Josephine (Jody) Johnston, of Butler; a brother, Grant
M. Butler, of Plantation, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Loveina M. Butler and Catherine Sampson, a brother,
Eddie H. Butler and a daughter-in-law, Pamela George Vogel, all
preceded her in death.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc.,
124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, June 17,
2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on
Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Ginger Ditulio
officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
