Constance Lee "Connie" Potyka Walsh, age 75, of Butler,
Pennsylvania, went to meet her Heavenly Father on November 19, 2009
at 4:00 P.M. Born August 26, 1934 in Butler, Pennsylvania,
she was the daughter of the late Andrew M. Potyka and Sarah M.
Hutchinson Potyka.
At the young age of ten, Connie suffered a bout with
cerebral spinal meningitis, which she survived, but was left deaf
from it. Connie was a Retirement Claims Specialist, retiring from
the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in Boyers, after 26 years of
service. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She also loved sewing, crafts and gardening. Connie was a member of
Faith United Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Terri Kaylor and her husband,
Bob of Butler; Holly Orzechowicz and her husband, Steve of Miami,
Florida; and Robin Walsh of Pittsburgh; one sister, Patricia L.
Walters and her husband, Bill of Butler; one brother, Andrew M.
Potyka, Jr. and his wife, Pat of Butler; her aunt and uncle, Andrew
Yaracs Jr. and his wife, Sophia of Butler; five grandchildren,
Joshua Kaylor of Erie; Amy Giallombardo and her husband, Dominic of
Lyndora; Rebecca, Casey, and Amanda Orzechowicz of Miami, Florida.
She is also survived by her former husband, Edward Walsh, to whom
she was married for 23 years, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith
United Presbyterian Church, 1329 North Main Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania 16001.
A memorial service will be held for Connie Walsh on Sunday,
November 22, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith United Presbyterian Church;
a brief reception will follow. |
