Margaret H. Washburn

Margaret H. Washburn, age 80, of Marwood Road, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 9:05 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Pennsylvania.

Born June 14, 1929 in Coraopolis, she was the daughter of Oscar Haugh and Sarah Murray Haugh.

Mrs. Washburn was a member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Washburn enjoyed gardening, choir and was a member of the Presbyterian Women.

Mrs. Washburn is survived by one son, Jeff Washburn and his wife Kate, of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Carol Washburn of Verona, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Kathryn Washburn of Columbia South Carolina, Jill Snyder of Kansas City, Missouri, Anna Snyder of Morgantown, West Virginia, and Gretchen Snyder of Verona, Pennsylvania; and one step grandson, Nicholas Romeo of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; and one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Harper of Columbia, South Carolina.

Mrs. Washburn was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Washburn, whom she married on April 23, 1953 and passed away on September 13, 2009, and also by one sister, Phyllis Bradley.

There will be a memorial service at St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Merry H. Meloy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.
