Lois Reisch Weber, age
88, formerly of Indiana, Greensburg, Butler, and Erie, died Tuesday,
March 30, 2010 at 11:00 p.m in the Passavant Retirement Community in
Zelienople, Pennsylvania.Born
July 23, 1921 in Southington, Connecticut, she was the daughter of
the late Otto Reisch and Minnie Weckworth Reisch.
Mrs. Weber was a 1943 Cum Laude
graduate of Wagner College. She was a homemaker and assistant to her
husband who was the pastor at various Lutheran churches. She was a
member of Seaman Memorial Lutheran Church in Zelienople. She was a
volunteer for Meals on Wheels, PARC, and in the early seventies she
helped bring people into the mainstream from mental facilities. She
volunteered for Emmaus Soup Kitchen while in Erie, which helped feed
the hungry. She also volunteered at St John's Lutheran Home in Erie.
She was a past president of WELCA and was a longtime Sunday school
teacher.
Mrs. Weber is survived by her
husband, Rev. Reinhold(Dutch) Weber, whom she married on May 17,
1943; one daughter, Judy Schuster of Cleveland, Ohio; three sons,
Mark Weber and his wife, Lynette of Jacksonville, Florida; Rick
Weber and his wife, Eleanor of Butler; and Tae Ro and his wife,
Linda of Youngstown, Ohio; nine grandchildren and thirteen
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Reisch and his wife, Sybil
of Westport, New York, and Jack Reisch and his wife, Kathryn of
Doylestown, Pennsylvania; and by several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the
Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler,
Pennsylvania on Friday, April 2, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to
9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Trinity
Lutheran Church where Pastor Weber served for 19 years, on Saturday,
April 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Thomas M. Pierotti of
Trinity Lutheran Church and Reverend Wil Goetze and Reverend John
Hoogerbrugge of Passavant Retirement Community officiating.
