We, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, care about hurting people long after the funeral is over. We are proud to offer to you our own bereavement program, Someone's Caring. Robin S. Miller, Grief Specialist and Educator, is available and she is professionally trained to assist the needs of persons after the death of their loved one.

We believe in companioning people through a very difficult time in the journey of grief. We are creative in our approach and treat each situation individually, as we are all unique in our grief.

Someone’s Caring was established in 1991 because Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., has always believed that our caring continues even after the day of the funeral. The caring that begins upon the death of a loved one is for a lifetime, for the families we serve, and as a resource for our community.

Our mission is to companion and provide compassion towards those individuals who have experienced the death of their loved one.

1. Specialized support groups facilitated by Robin S. Miller

  • Survivors of Suicide Grief Support Group - for those who has experienced the death of a loved one(s) by suicide. Meets monthly.

  • Bereaved Parent Grief Support Group - for those who has experienced the death of their child/children. Meets monthly.

5. Companionship with O'Shea, our Grief Companion Dog.

The Someone's Caring Grief Support Groups are held in the "Garden Lounge of Hope". It is a safe place where many hurting people have embraced their grief experience and discovered the hope after the death of their beloved one.
